Residence and Housing

On-Campus Housing

Algoma University’s  offers traditional and townhouse-style residence buildings. All first year students are guaranteed private rooms with a shared bathroom if they complete their residence application by the given deadline. Traditional style rooms include a private bedroom and a shared washroom. Townhouse-style units include 4 bedrooms, a shared washroom, shared common space, and a shared kitchen. All building amenities include:

  • Common study areas
  • Access to a front desk
  • Maintenance
  • Laundry facilities

Rooms in all buildings come furnished and include internet access and local telephone service. Residence rates vary depending on building choice and room style. Mandatory are an additional cost and come in a variety of options. Payment plans are available for residence fees.

 is comprised of buses. Full-time students at Algoma University are eligible for a discounted . Sault Ste. Marie Transit provides bus routes and  for every transit route they offer.

Accessibility

 is provided at the front of the bus for persons with disabilities. The  is a curb-to-curb service for persons with physical disabilities, who due to their disability are unable to use the conventional transit.
