Collège Boréal is a francophone College of Applied Arts and Technology with 7 campuses in Ontario. Its main campus is Sudbury, Ontario, with additional campuses in Hearst, Kapuskasing, London, Nipissing, Timmins, Toronto, Welland, and Windsor. The centre also provides personal consultations to help students conduct specialized research.

Collège Boréal  offers a range of financial assistance which consists of merit-based scholarships, need-based bursaries, and awards based on academic achievement. Residence and Housing

On-Campus Housing

College Boreal’s  offers traditional style accommodations for 138 students. Residence is assigned based on a selection panel who reviews all requests for accommodations. Students who do not make the first selection will be placed on a waiting list and may be offered residence at any point throughout the year. Traditional rooms include single or double occupancy bedrooms with communal washrooms. Building amenities include:

  • Common lounge
  • Common study areas
  • Communal kitchen
  • Access to a front desk
  • Maintenance
  • Laundry facilities

All rooms come furnished and include internet access. Residence rates vary depending on room selection. Meal plan information is not currently available.

Some of the units in the residence building are equipped for students with disabilities. For more information, students are asked to contact the residence office directly.

Sudbury Transit

Greater  is comprised of buses. Full-time students at Boréal Collége are eligible to purchase a discounted .  are provided for every transit route that Greater Sudbury Transit provides.

Accessibility

Greater Sudbury Transit offers  on their conventional transit such as low floors, wheel chair ramps, priority seating, and automated stop systems.

 provides door-to-door transit services for person with disabilities, who are unable to the conventional transit. Users who require a support person are able to apply for a support person pass, which allows Support Persons to travel free of charge. More information about GOVA Plus and the eligibility guidelines and application is available on their website.

Timmins Transit

 is comprised of buses. Full-time students at Borèal Collége are eligible to purchase a discounted student .  are provided for every transit route that Timmins Transit provides.

Accessibility

Timmins Transit provides  with features such as low floors, and priority and courtesy seating.

 is a door-to-door transit service for persons with mobility impairments, who due to their mobility impairment are unable to use the conventional transit system. More information about what Para-Bus offers and the eligibility guidelines and application is available on their website.

Toronto Transit

The  is comprised of subways, buses, and streetcars. A discounted  is available for purchase for full-time students at Collège Boréal.  are provided for each of the TTC transit options.

Accessibility

The TTC offers  on both their buses and subways. Accessible services on buses include kneeling features, ramps, lifts, automated next stop announcements, wheel chair and scooter positions, and priority seating. The subways provide accessible services such as wheel chair positions and priority seating. There are elevators at half of the subway stations, with the goal of the remaining stations to be accessible by 2025.

The TTC offers the  which allows users of the transit system who require a support person to have this person travel with them at no additional cost. Persons interested in the support program must fill out the .

 is a service that provides door-to-door accessible transit service for persons with physical disabilities. The TTC has established  for the use of Wheel-Trans. Persons seeking to use Wheel-Trans must participate in an in-person interview.
